Artist's note: I was intrigued by the shadows these horses were creating, standing calmly waiting for their riders to come and mount up. Even more intriguing was the fact that we have two horses, a third showing just their ears and just a shadow of the fourth horse. I thought that looked fun to draw, then added just a bit of color in the blanket for good measure.
