Brenda Bruckner

Brenda and her husband Steve own and operate the L Lazy E, a working cattle ranch in south central South Dakota. This is the main source of her inspiration and subject matter, and she maintains a studio at the family’s ranch.

Horses were Brenda’s first love from a very young age and remain the primary focus of her art. Her favorite scenes are of working ranch horses, quiet scenes and studies of cowboys, cowgirls and their gear. Her husband, two daughters, and son-in-law frequently serve as her models.

Brenda’s work has been featured in various magazines such as Western Horseman, Equine Images, Equine Visions, Equus, the South Dakota Magazine and numerous livestock publications and catalogs. Her art can be found in all 50 states and numerous countries.
