Collection: Harold Holden

 

Primarily known as a cowboy artist, Harold, or “H,” has been capturing the West in sculptures and paintings for over 40 years. His highly visible portfolio includes 23 public monuments, US Postage stamps, and a piece in the Oklahoma State Capitol building.

Harold’s notable career was full of achievements, both in Oklahoma and the national stage. He received the Oklahoma Sculpture Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award, was named an Oklahoma State University Distinguished Alumni, was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, received the 2020 Fraser Sculpture Award at the Prix de West, and was the first Oklahoma artist to be inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners at The Cowboy. He was also a member of the Cowboy Artists of America.

In December 2023, Harold passed away at the age of 83.
