Kaye is a lifelong horsewoman and long-time member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Growing up on a ranch and continuing to run a cattle operation with her family, Kaye has drawn from her rodeo and ranching background to give her paintings an authentic and realistic look.
After receiving a degree in art and elementary education from Dickinson State University in North Dakota, she taught art for six years before turning to painting full-time. Kaye works primarily in oils, bringing to canvas face-to-face experiences with her ranch surroundings.
Kaye’s successful career has earned her the coveted Alumni Fellow Award from Dickinson State University from the Department of Fine & Performing Arts in 2006, and in 2013 Kaye was honored with the American's Horse in Art Steel Dust Award.
